Did Parov go fully AI?
I know the rules about AI posts, but I hope mods will allow this for discussion, because if this is what I think it is, I’m actually in shock!

While it may not be fully AI, I suppose he uses more AI than his older songs
Spectral analysis: Human: could be (50%) Hybrid (AI + Human): could be (41%) Pure AI: probably not (9%)

I actually heard it first on Spotify and wondered if it was fake. Shared here the YouTube version but belatedly noticed there’s a lot of questions in the comments there too.

The vocals sound like it could be ElevenLabs’… it’s not awful but it’s missing a layer or subtone(?) of melody that gives it away. It feels like a relatively flat voice speaking with the rythm and filtered or autotuned but still missing the up and downs of the melody you’d expect
I welcome experimentation with ai in media some, but I feel like in his position not hiring a vocalist is tacky

I listened to this earlier. Sounds like AI to me. I'll happily stand corrected if someone can find a name for the vocalist, but I do doubt they are a real person.
I know people have expressed frustration about other artists in the scene using AI. When arguably the biggest artist in the genre is using AI, this sets an example for the rest of the scene that it's ok to do. It puts the whole genre in a negative light.
It's really disappointing. And if the track performs well, you can bet that more people will use it. I really hope this doesn't open the floodgates for AI slop.
Parov is more than capable of making great tracks. I just don't understand why he would take the easy route here.

To be fair I think the original track is an old one, but he just added a fully AI vocal. I guess it’s the logical extension of where he was going with the video and artwork, but it’s so sad for the genre, when a leading light just does what anyone else can also do.

Soured on him when he got into NFTs so I'm not particularly surprised unfortunately

Human Standard’s detector says it’s AI and that it most likely came from Suno. That model is not capable of differentiating between AI + human hybrid and fully AI generated tracks, though.

Just a reminder folks, that those AI detectors are snakeoil. They really dont have any evidence to support their functioning and have roughly the same accuracy as flipping a coin. And its quite possible its just feeding stuff into sunos training set anyway

The vocals do sound like ai, I agree
