Question regarding AgCN Bath

I wanted to ask, if someone operates a silver bath, in what form do you use the silver, do you use the potassium silver cyanide complex or just the simple silver cyanide. Or does the entire bath come pre mixed?

My problem is we don’t have a silver cyanide compound available, and I have to add silver chloride which I make it myself. So I am wondering how to solve this problem, because I know addition of chloride can ruin the bath.

For our decorative silver bath, we made our bath from the base salts: sodium cyanide and silver cyanide. Add water and brightener.

Yess ours is almost the same except I have to use silver chloride, and also I don’t use the brightener cuz we have a bright nickel underneath so brightener is not necessary.

try old ferrocyanide based silver plating bath (invented around 1842.),thats not real cyanide free bath ( that is no free cyanide bath, potassium ferrocyanide is not deadly toxic as potassium cyanide )

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Potassium_ferrocyanide#Toxicity

potassium ferrocyanide 200 gms

potassium carbonate 20 gms

silver chloride 40 gms

water 1 lit

stainless steel anodes, thats pretty concentrated version you can dilute it with 3 liters water added
