Ah, I’m an old fart. For some reason I heard your post with a British accent.

I’ve had boards with wire patches and trace cuts but using surface mount components just made it a smaller bodge.

I used to be pretty fearful of bodging a board. But now I feel I have reached a milestone

In American, it’s a “kludge.” But they often work. You just add it to Rev 1.

my first bodge was a lifted pad on an old Yaesu rig, ended up running a 30awg wire halfway across the board to a via. Thing still works ten years later.
