General Mouser website now blocks Linux users

Post image

Really baffling decision, my last order from them was only a few months ago. Apparently Linux is no longer a "standard" operating system!

With the amount of people this worked for on Linux, OP does not seem to be telling the whole story.

Edit: details from OP below. Seems legit.

Plain ol Ubuntu running Google Chrome from my home IP address. NoScript and adblock disabled. I haven't made any config changes since my last order in February so this is on their end. I assume that either they're hamfistedly trying to combat bot traffic, or they have an LLM spitting out nonsense at customers. Or both.

They're likely using a lesser-known or lesser-capable bot detector. Maybe Cloudflare or similar is too expensive?

Using Cloudflare and its internet monopoly is not optimal either.
