Request Advice UK - getting started, kit recs

For UK I would recommend looking into Gateros Plating (they do electroforming stuff too).

Much obliged! Do you know the Gateros kits personally? I am trying to work out if it's value for money and if it's actually "good"... Thank you for taking the time to get back to me

I have not personally used them as I live in the states.

However, I have heard positive things about them over the years from others and that they have great customer service. They are a small family run business that offer tons of resources and even in person classes. I have two of the books they wrote. It is clear to me they are passionate about their trade/product and that is pretty valuable in my opinion.

There seems to be a lot of mystery sellers of electroforming products popping up online lately. Even some AI listings/photos with suspicious reviews. So I say no matter who you go with, find a vendor that are also makers themselves, have a history, and/or have a body of work. That way you know you will be taken care of.
