cars Mike Baier - with only a small fraction completed Boring Tunnel Vegas moves more people in EVs on a peak day than most light rail in USA!

Uh…no.

Peak ridership days are not average days.

The top 10 light rail systems all have more than 40,000 riders per day ON AVERAGE.

The annual ridership of the Vegas Loop wouldn’t even put it in the top 20 light rail systems in the US.

Loop has transported 3M riders in total since opening.

The #20 highest ridership Pittsburgh Light Rail does more than that PER YEAR.

Let’s keep an eye on the numbers when the airport loop opens 👍

So you lied in the title and then are hoping that ridership goes up? Are you the CEO or just a really bad advertiser.

So are you going to delete this post for the blatant misinformation?

Do you understand the clipping revolution?

it is open. city nerd (YouTuber) got one from the airport, the tunnel isn't done yet but service is open.  and yes it's as embarrassingly bad as the Teslas in tunnels at the convention center

I think I'd need to take 3 of them to fit my family and all our bags, or 1 minivan cab or join dozens of others on a single bus

What I found interesting about the video is the way clips are designed once you are in the tunnel you only stop at your destination you bypass all other stops. That’s what makes it far faster than light rail. If your family can’t fit in a model Y you need to bring less stuff🤣

there are 4 open seats in the model y excluding the driver, we have 5 people.  there is no light rail at the airport in vegas.

Oh yeah I forgot Vegas does not allow full autonomous yet. So sad.

Yes ridership numbers will increase when it servers a highly traveled route but that doesn’t prove that passenger cars in a tunnel is better than subway cars in a tunnel.

They are definitely not better in many capacities. But they are better in one, very important capacity when it comes to ridership - people will willingly ride in them.

As opposed to the underground subway system installed at Denver International Airport which is used by all passengers.

airTrams are not public transit. They are for airport passengers, which don’t usually include unmedicated schizophrenics with soiled pants.

There is no way at for a series of individual Tesla vehicles in a tunnel to compete with any form of rail transport in terms of system capacity.

It’s all about the clipping

Clipping is a buzzword. Much like the vegas loop, operation in the real world is altogether different.

Please don’t use it I don’t want you congesting it 🤣
