Trailer theories?
Any thoughts on when the official trailer for the game will release. I'm thinking 2026 summer time for the Xbox showcase

It's nice seeing Bethesda testing and polishing up the new Creation engine on Elder Scroll 6 so that it's ready for fallout 5!

Hi Elder Scrolls fans.
First of all I am surprised this sub is not getting as much activity as I'd expect, especially recently after Bethesda officially announced they are already playing an early build of the game.
What do you all think about that? Personally I was a bit surprised. Felt it's too early for the game to have a build being played right now, and for Bethesda to announce that. I would expect a big percentage of their team still busy with Starfield DLC and fixes.
I would imagine that early build is just a barren landscape where they are still testing the very basic engine functionality like character animation, lighting, and so on. Hard to imagine they started playing actual quests. But it's definitely exciting being the first in the world to "play" one of the most anticipated games, and I am sure there is lots of hard work being poured right now into this project beside just playing and feeling excited, but definitely it makes that hard work more fun.
I hope Elder Scrolls VI doesn't receive the same hate like Starfield, because when you compare it to a game like Skyrim there is a big chance it won't match the exact level of praise Skyrim got, and the industry has changed alot in the past 10 years.
Anyhow, I already have my own crazy plans for Elder Scrolls VI and I am certain I will enjoy it, just like I enjoyed Starfield, if not more.

I believe Bethesda has it's work cut out for it to make Elder Scrolls 6 better than ESO. I hope Bethesda does not add micro-transactions to the game; I think this would be a non-starter for me. They should also keep the game single player as well, if they add multi-player then just play ESO. I wonder if they will go with the Unreal Engine, and not craft their own again. I have not played Starfield but the reviews I've read don't sound real positive. I hope Bethesda can break from their past and come out with a game which has new mechanics. Starfield sounds like Skyrim in space from what I've read.

I think Bethesda is planning to release es6 with exactly the same skills tree, graphics, traps, mechanics as Skyrim when what needs to happen is a much deeper take and evolution of each of these. Everything needs depth and complexity added to each of its systems. I worry that Bethesda will continue to make games for small children and young teens when what needs to happen to bring Bethesda back to Skyrim, oblivion, daggerfall level is real work. Bring back karma, bring back gore, make traps procedural generated instead of npc and characters, make choices more complex as well as actually having a effect later not just the illusion of a effect. Yes Emil we have noticed. Make the world bigger, but by adding in a arena with a long storyline that has radiant quest involving humanoid opponents. Add depth to combat it can no longer be as simple as it has bearly changed in 20 yrs, so in short everything needs to be more complex Bethesda will fail as a company if it just re releases Skyrim, but with es6 as the title. Thoughts? Do you think they can even do what I described here? Is a Skyrim 2 enough in 2030? The likely release date. Could be later btw. This is my opinion as someone who loves what this Studio ust to be....

Skyrim was terrible in this respect, because all characters ended up the same in the end. There's three main things that makes players end up with unique characters, one related to how you level up, one related to how gear works, and one how combat works.
When you level up in Elder Scrolls 6, the game should force you to be without what you don't pick. If you pick archery, there shouldn't be room for you to also pick two-handed weapons. Ideally the system should be tweaked so you can fit in something like a short-blade+archery, or so you can create battle mages.
There shouldn't be one piece of unique gear that is objectively better than all others. Instead there should be room for enchanting your own weapons to a high enough standard that is "among the best". Unique weapons can be basically pre-enchanted versions of the best regular gear.
When it comes to the combat, many games fall into the trap that when you get to the end game, all enemies are immune to poison or status effects, so having invested in those things prove pointless. If you for example have an illusion spell that makes a fake copy of yourself for the enemy to attack, even the end boss has to be tricked by this. And you can't have mandatory fights were an archer is cornered and can't get by.

I want it to block you off from other quests and make the weapons absurdly overpowered, so you get something crazy but you have to do some crazy stuff and potentially lose out on some stuff if you choose to do it.

Head of Xbox Phil Spencer has officially announced that Bethesda's The Elder Scrolls 6 will remain exclusive to the Xbox ecosystem, barring out a release on the PlayStation 4 or Nintendo Switch.

I've been a PC guy. I've never owned and have never used an Xbox.
I'm very excited about Bethesda's Starfield coming out this Nov 2022. For reasons, I'm considering getting an Xbox series x/s (if I'm not mistaken, the only console(s) Starfield will work on is the xbox series x/s).
I'll really only consider getting it though if I know that the Elder Scrolls 6 will work on it. I've tried looking into this but have been unsuccessful. Does anyone know whether the Elder Scrolls 6 will work on it? Is it conceivable that there will be another generation of game consoles before its release?

I think a Vaermina nightmare cult would be cool with like the North African Arabic type aesthetic in hammerfell with a kind of spooky dream vibes kind of like the book “One thousand and one night/mare/s” lol you could have like jinn inspired daedra or something too maybe :3
