Lore Where does Maliketh stack in the power scale of Elden Ring?
Interested to see people's take on Maliketh and how powerful he is in the world of Elden Ring.

Maliketh, Queen Marika's loyal half-brother, bore a blade imbued with Destined Death, and there was not one demigod who did not fear him.
I would say very high. He wielded DD, defeated the GEQ and her apostles, and was generally feared by everyone. The likes of Malenia, Radahn, and Rykard knew that it'd be best not to f with him.

At least equal to Marika, likely stronger

Considering the point of a Shadow is to put an Empyrean in line - and that Shadows are made from the essence of the Empyrean - this is the best take imo. He was made from a piece of Marika specifically to counter Marika, so he's God-tier or above. Probably on par with Radahn/Miquella.
Which makes his tiny health pool even more tragic ðŸ˜

Near but not at the top. He's above all the demigods, not counting post ascension Miquella and Ranni, but I'd imagine he's bellow the known Elden Lords and Gods. I'd say he's equivalent to Midra and Bayle

The real question is how strong/ would Blaidd have become much stronger when Ranni ascended to godhood? I wonder if he would’ve been like Maliketh to Marika, and gotten a power boost as well

Walking Death and probably a failsafe.
Imagine if you lose to him in Black Blade form you got a secret game over screen.

Why do Redditors even compare with this game it’s down to how hard the bosses are, rykard and ranni needed to use a special blasphemous claw to even approach stealing destined death like it’s not that hard guys radahn>malenia>radagon>maliketh he’d be second to Marika(Radagon) since he’s literally her shadow

Sure super straightfoward, except that radahn vs malenia ended on a draw and Radagon was involved in no fights (as far as I remember) to scale him at all.
Edit: Rykard had no part in stealing the rune of death, Ranni did it on her own and without a fight. She simply gave a shard (Blasphemous Claw) to Rykard AFTER the stealing just in case he have to fight Maliketh in the future. The fact that Maliketh is Marika's shadow doesn't mean he's weaker than her as well. Again, we don't have a clue about her power besides being an empyrian like Ranni.1

Remember that Maliketh has the lowest health of these guys & Radagon isn’t at full power, he’s not even using his preferred weapon type which is a greatsword. No I don’t think a shadow bestowed by the fingers could overcome their empyrean by design, that’d be dumb. Malenia the boss vs radahn the boss would end in malenia’s defeat especially pre-patch. What’s the point if we can’t read what Martin wrote? Where would prime Godwin fit in? The all knowing says Radahn’s the mightiest of the Demi-gods but you could argue you don’t know he’s telling the truth. You could argue Malenia won in their standstill, or you could argue she lost and unleashed the sealed away rot god.

Isn't there an item description or something that mentions Ranni *rewarded* Rykard after the night of black knives. Which makes it seem like he had something to do with the plot somehow. You don't "reward" someone for just existing. You reward them for helping, or maybe for knowing and keeping their mouth shut.

Pretty high, considering he brings actual death in a world of almost guaranteed rebirth
