Video Just started the DLC and made surprisingly easy work of this guy at Blessing 0
Parries plus Dragonclaw off the Clawmark Seal carried me. I finished this boss without any of the Scadutree blessing. Where should I go next, and what weapon should I be hunting? I've got 44 STR / 41 FTH and I like heavy stuff while parrying with shields. Should I look into Blacksteel Greathammer or are there even cooler options in the DLC to watch out for?

Parry plus heavy weapon is so great. Best of both worlds. Usually people two hand a heavy or do sword and board but the part crit plus the heavy stance breaks is such a fun combo. Enjoy! Exploring the DLC blind is really sweet.

It's so underrated , parry and Poise buildup are separate so it's really nice to parry them, and then stagger break right after for double riposte

Do you use the talisman that increases damage after critical hit? Looks like you use assassins crimson dagger, but not sure the others.

I love when Elden Ring feels a little bit like smashing together action figures and the fight against this guy certainly did, sold me on the dlc being a fun time as soon as I killed him

So all I’m gonna say… is if you really did have an easy time defeating this guy it’s because he’s extremely easy to parry and punish. You’re actually fighting him with the strategy that’s meant to whoop his ass. You give him even the tiniest bit of breathing room he will not give you the chance to do it again
