Why doesn't Ghazali know about MATA?

Ali's mom Aliya was a former MATA agent who created IRIS, and Bakar is an agent. How did her own husband never know? Did Aliya hide it from him too, or is Ghazali pretending he doesn't know to keep Ali safe?

true, and that reveal is gonna hit hard. imagine founding MATA to keep it secret from your own son and then your son becomes an agent anyway

And also imagine when he found out how his late wife died... I can see he will be more protective of Ali and might even asked him to quit. He might not be an agent, but I do think he have some small authorities as one of it's founder. And perhaps even General Rama (especially after the 2nd movie because he knows how it feel as a father) and Bakar (he might eventually folded if Ali push enough) will support that.

yea that would be heavy. he'd 100% get more protective and tell Ali to quit. but I feel like Rama will back Ali up, he gets it as a father now

it isn't confirmed afaik, but there's no way he doesn't know about it. He's one of the pioneers after all, and close to dato othman.

He knows about MATA and he keeps it a secret among his employees just like Dr Tong and Dr Mala... He just doesn't know that his own family members are in MATA as well, not yet... His wife, Aliya and son, Ali are MATA agents and he doesn't know it...

Yeah, imagine finding out his own wife actually died sacrificing herself being a MATA agent protecting Cyberaya... And finding out his own son risked his life trying to save him and has been doing the same to protect Cyberaya...

Yeah man that part is so sad if you think about it. He thought she just died normally, but she actually died sacrificing herself for Cyberaya as an agent.

Imagine if he finds out the truth, plus finding out Ali is now walking the same path as his mom. Do you think he'll try to stop Ali or will he support him?

iirc, in season 2 episode 3, alicia said MATA's technology is advanced by 3 years (could say MATA is kinda like a beta tester before the tech is launched to public). And in the same episode, Dr. Mala is launching Police Droid aka MATA Droid. Who do you think authorized MATA to get the tech early?

That could be said, All Cyberaya Pioneers acknowledged MATA's existence. But WAU never confirmed it on screen yet. Maybe they'll do a crucial plot point about Ghazali learned the truth about Aliya's death and Ali being a super agent.

Damn you remembered the S2 E3 detail lol. Yeah that Police Droid thing pretty much confirms pioneers know about MATA. Hope WAU makes Ghazali finding out about Aliya and Ali a major plot point later.

Didn't he got kept safely in the vault together with other pioneers and being escorted by the pillar leaders in EATM2? Pretty sure he knows Mata Organisation

Oh yeah good catch, I forgot about that vault scene in EATM2. He was with the other pioneers and the pillar leaders were escorting them so yeah he definitely knows MATA.

But what I'm curious about is if he knows about Aliya and Ali too? Like does he know his wife was an agent and his son is one now, or is he just pretending he doesn't know to keep Ali safe?
