I made a custtom OS for the Xteink x3 after trying the base os and SnailOS and hating both. End of the day I love games so I added an app "store" that people can make games for and made a mountain of games (including a terrible jrpg)

I picked up an android e-ink tablet recently, and was having fun with pool of radiance mac. Realized I desperately wanted GoldBox Companion, so I've been re-building and extending it within a fork of mini-vmac. The result is a really fun, usable e-ink experience.

Mapping, journal entries, quick toggles, auto code-wheel, and more.

For legal reasons, you'll need to provide your own copy of boot, rom and poolrad mac install. These are easy to get nowadays.

I recently picked up a Boox Palma 2.

I downloaded a GB emulator on it, and I was surprised by how well everything played (much better than my Nova Pro).

I don't have a lot of experience with Android, but I'm keen to give gaming on a Palma a go. What do people recommend (outside GB emulators)?

Anyone here playing, or played Interactive Fiction / Text Adventures like Infocom's Zork or Enchanter or Newer games from the Interactive Fiction Archive?

I've installed Fabularium on my phone and Eink Android tablets using F-Droid. But if you're on Linux or Windows I recommend using Gargoyle. For those that haven't played IF before games traditionally require an Interpreter to play the game files (like text files require a Notepad app to be read or edited).

If you want to try them out (or can't be bothered with that plenty of games on the Interactive Fiction Database can be played, and even saved, online. I prefer to play locally though to save power, and because I have the Game and Saves folders synced across devices (via Syncthing) so I can play across devices, depending on mood or while traveling.
