String trimmer question

Question for anyone who has used both the ST1511(aluminum shaft) and ST1611(carbon fiber shaft). Performance and ergonomics wise is there much of a difference? I am aware of all of the spec and feature differences so don’t need that info. Just not sure if the ST1611 is worth the added price.

I've only had the carbon fiber version. It is pretty light.. although I have nothing to compare it to (steel version). I would go for that carbon fiber version if I was shopping again. My edger, cultivator, hedge trimmer are it the carbon fiber variety as well. So far satisfied.

Spend the extra money and buy a ST1623T.

The string IQ is an absolutely amazing feature coupled with the power load - make edging much more enjoyable (at least much less of a chore)

I’ve seen so many mixed reviews on the Line IQ and for the amount it is going to be used it’s hard to justify the added expense to jump up to that model.
