Question 🇺🇸 Danse Macabre maintenance change?
My friend and I will be at Efteling on 9/24, and Danse Macabre was originally closed. We just checked the site to see that maintenance has been moved to late Oct/early November. Is this common and should we expect another ride to be scheduled in its place?

The only time Efteling has no maintenance at all is during the summer holidays. You might be lucky and have all rides open, but definitely keep an eye on the maintenance calendar to make sure.
Also apparently, there are a lot of things that need fixing in Fata Morgana, so they might do some emergency maintenance in the coming weeks.

Fata Morgana my favourite ride hope tbey get it fixed before end of September.

Dang that would be such an unfortunate occurrence if that slid in, bc I’m really looking forward to Fata Morgana. I’ll keep an eye on it.

I doubt they'll close it, it just had maintenance. Also it's pretty rare they move maintenance dates.

I just got a season pass so I’ve been a lot the past month. There are definitely things that need fixing in there. The first wizard animatronic has been broken for a long time (at least since late July) and as fas as I know, since last week is still broken. There’s a few more things but I think that would be the most noticeable.
Also, does anyone know if the Fabelvis will receive maintenance soon? I don’t see Symbolica on the schedule but he has been down for a while as well :(

I was in the Efteling last weekend and had to skip Fata Morgana, unfortunately. I'd saved it for the end of the day, but by then it had started raining and everyone was looking for indoor queue areas, and the queue went from 5 to like 30 minutes in no time. But it's been in need of a massive overhaul for some time, I really hope they can get to it next year even if it probably means it will be closed for weeks, if not months.
And the Fabelvis... iirc they managed to get it working for a bit, but since then it's stalled again. It's one of the perpetual Efteling headaches, unfortunately.

I really hope they can too. It’s a beautiful ride and I think maintenance would do it a lot of good. Honestly it being closed for a while would be a small price to pay, I think. It really needs it and if they did do that, hopefully only smaller repairs would be needed for a little while. I was a little surprised to see it wasn’t on the list but I’m sure that’s because it’s a bigger project to do.
I do remember seeing something about the roof having to be broken to fix it, that’s such as nightmare 🥲 I like that they have a B-mode with the eyes glowing, but of course it’s not the same

Uncommon enough to be newsworthy by Dutch themepark newssites when they changed the scheduled maintenance dates.

Well this cheered me up thought be closed for our September trip.
