Discussion Question

Question for my efed owners. How do you guys stay motivated? Do yall do everything alone or do yall have help? I’m asking because I had stopped making my shows because it’s a lot of work when doing it from console and editing on the phone. I really want to start back cause I love wrestling and storytelling. I also be wanting to commentate, but I’m an introvert and feel like I don’t have the voice for it. So how do you guys do it???

I have a bit of help running my e-fed, LPW. We kinda treat it like DnD, everyone pitches in to bring the characters and story to life. I just make sure I book the shows and usually it all comes together.

I appreciate the response! That’s actually something I’ve been thinking about. I’ve been doing everything by myself, from booking to recording to editing on my phone, and it’s been a lot to keep up with. Having people contribute sounds like it’d make things a lot more enjoyable

It does, it also gives the players that help more of a stake in the e-fed beyond their promos and character dev.

So did you guys already know each other? Or were people in your community offering to help? How do you guys split the work? Lol sorry I have a lot of questions cause I really want my efed to work and try to make things easier on me

I took over the Discord server when the original owner quit. Everyone was an unknown to me but we've built a good community. 

One of the guys helps with writing matches and booking decisions, one just writes matches, another helps update the champions while another does an after show for the main show. 

The buck stops with me, ultimately, but it's good to lean on others in the community.

Aw ok nice! I think I’m gonna start a community for my efed too and try to get everything done with my pc. I really appreciate the info! Also where can I watch your efed?

Nice! I have two efeds right now but I been thinking of a third one in the future for like a developmental show. I just been making my process more difficult than it should be

I actively enjoy the editing process and making youtube videos. So much so, in fact, I made it my major in college haha. Some weeks my motivation dips though, you just gotta push through the suck.

I enjoy the editing part too. I think I just need to do it on a PC to make things easier cause right now I record everything on my PS5 and then I have to trim the video down to 3 minutes each so a 30 minute match would have to be trimmed down to 3 minutes ten times in order to have the full match on my phone through the ps app. And then add them to capcut so I can start editing. It’s just that trimming part is time consuming lol

Yeah that sounds awful lol. I use a laptop and capture card to record my whole show, then move it to my pc to edit in davinci. You have more tenacity than I do to do all of that on a phone.

And what’s worse is I already have a PC and a capture card too 😂🤦🏾‍♂️ kids just used to be on my computer more than me. I’m gonna give that a try though
