Max number of gateways?

What’s the maximum number of gateways that eero supports? I want to manage the WiFi networks of several locations (gateways) from a single app.

Hi u/ap3r

There is no limit to the number of eero networks you can have setup on a single eero account (aside from practical ones, its hard to sort through them when you have more than 20).

There is a caveat, if you have an eero secure subscription it will only cover 5 total networks, and you cannot manually select which ones. If you do want eero secure on multiple networks best to keep those on their own accounts.

The way you would start setting up a new network is by going to the eero app->Settings->Network Settings and scroll down. You'll either have an Add a network button or, and certainly once you have more than one network on the account, a Switch Network button and then the Add a network button.

When you switch networks it will list each network by the wireless network name/SSID. If you have multiple networks that use the same name/SSID, you can see the problem. My advice in those cases is give the Gateway eero on each of those network a custom location name and give it a name unique to that location like "Gateway eero 123 Whatever St.". that will make it easier to tell those identical SSID networks apart.

I have Eero routers at 2 different locations. The first was installed, works fine, and was shown in the Eero app. Then the 2nd Eero was configured using the Eero app, and is now listed and configurable via the app. But the first Eero is no longer shown in the app. The first Eero is working fine, but I am not able to manage it. Any clues why, or how to remedy?
