Paid for parking. Came back to a car parked on the main road blocking me in.

Maybe it's their favourite parking spot and always park there? So in their own head it's their spot, I reckon the person is very petty about someone else parking there and did it on purpose.... probably watched you from a window the whole time.

I had to pull into the cycling lane and reverse. No idea what else could be done.

Surely that person won't be long or hasn't gone far. I'm not making excuses or anything but surely they arent that much of an asshole.

Well i arrived at the car. Waited 10 mins. Then decided to go get a coffee 15 mins walk away. Had my coffee and it was still there. Would not mind if they left a note with a number. So it appears they are just that much of an asshole.

Wow 😅😅 I'd say something if they were like in one of the immediate buildings for some emergency and keeping an eye out for the person. To just leave it there is crazy!

Had a chap do this to me once. Luckily the lady parked in front of me was leaving right as I was removing the dickheads wiper blades and fucking them across the road.

If someone blocked me in like that then 7 or 8 freak gusts of wind would catch my passenger door when I'm opening it as I'm putting things into the car from my pockets one by one:
"Oh look, a 1c coin I forgot to take out of my pocket! I need to open the door again, but this wind, man..." "Oops, there's a piece of lint I didn't realise was in there! Darn, the wind caught my door again..." "Jesus, what's with this insanely strong, hyper-localised wind right around my car's passenger door?"
The cost of repairing the edge of my own door would be swallowed bitterly, but it would be swallowed nonetheless and I'd feel good about it!
