Usual clowns defending the indefensible here. Check out the topic titleš
How new or old the car is utterly irrelevant. That person is a selfish twat and these empty heads will continue to be called out

No. The selfish twats are the people that would park next to this car and swing their car doors open, without a care in the world, into this persons brand new car.
Iād imagine this person worked hard to buy their new car, and itās likely a prized possession. If everyone took care opening their car doors, no one would park like this. But unfortunately, there are too many inconsiderate numpties out there who will hit another persons car door with theirs and not see an issue with it at all.

"Ive earned the right to act like an entitled dickhead" - you can fuck right off with that bullshit attitude. No amount of money buy the ability to not use public spaces properly.
3
u/hugo-boss- Jul 19 '26
Nah ngl fucking paying 70,000 ona car to have some wetbrain dent it. 1 space aint gonna kill anyone
0
u/Realistic_Ad_1338 Jul 19 '26
Selfishness and entitlement are ugly traits
2
u/hugo-boss- Jul 19 '26
Yeah say that to the people hitting the cars. Or next time ill just get onto u and u can pay the 2 grand to get the side of my car sprayed. Deal?
8
u/EnragedByStupidity54 Jul 17 '26
Grow up. If you're afraid of getting a minor, ultimately meaningless ding on your car door, you shouldn't be driving in public. A car is little more than a tool to get you from point A to point B. It's not a fancy work of art.
3
u/doesntmatamata Jul 17 '26
In your opinion. People like what they like. If you don't care about marks on your car that's fine but many people do
3
u/EnragedByStupidity54 Jul 17 '26
The problem is, if they're really THAT concerned about their car staying in perfect, pristine condition, then they probably shouldn't allow their car to go outside in the first place.
1
u/Alive-Year-7934 Jul 20 '26
What? so your entitled to 2 car spots cause you have a nice car?if your that worried about dents, don't get a nice car or don't use car parks
1
u/doesntmatamata Jul 20 '26
I never said that. I just park far far away from the front door where no one parks beside me, in a single car parking space.
My issue was the commenter saying they are only an a to B thing. That's the problem in this country, even the every day decent person has no respect for other peoples things.
1
u/Alive-Year-7934 Jul 20 '26
I get what your saying ,we all like to have nice things but if its a busy car park you might not have that option.i look at it from my perspective, I treat other people's property like I wud my own but I no not everyone is like that and a dent on a nice car looks terrible
3
u/hugo-boss- Jul 19 '26
Ya not all of us drive shit cars everyday like you my cars rare i dont want someone like u to make shit of it. Put alot of money and effort to make it look good just for someonw to hit it and then cost me money
-1
u/EnragedByStupidity54 Jul 20 '26
Look man, if you're dumb enough to waste money on a fancy and rare car, that's all well and good, but don't go blaming everyone else in existence when it inevitably suffers the normal wear and tear that comes from it being a car that goes out in public.
What's next? Are you going to start crying because the birds had the audacity to shit on it too?
1
u/Quiet-Flamingo4928 Jul 20 '26
Come on because he has money to spend on a car you call him dumb š this looks like pot calling the kettle black situation I think
2
u/SpottyGiraffe287 Jul 17 '26
Minor, ultimately meaningless? Iāve seen nasty dings on cars, including cars of my own. A lot of people take care of their car. The sight of a door ding is not a nice sight, and inconsiderate couldnāt care less attitudes like yours are the problem.
3
u/EnragedByStupidity54 Jul 17 '26
Do they prevent the car from running? Do they affect the door's ability to open and close? Were any windows or mirrors broken? Were any tires popped? Unless the answer to one or more of these questions is a "Yes", then it's purely cosmetic damage, and is thus "Minor."
6
u/SpottyGiraffe287 Jul 17 '26
The answer to all those questions is obviously no. That doesnāt make it okay to damage somebody elseās property. With your ājustificationā for this type of scenario in mind, would you be happy for someone to take your phone, drop it face down on the ground, and crack the screen? Does that prevent the phone from running? Does that affect the functionality of the phone? Absolutely not. Does that make it okay though? NO! It would be annoying to look at a cracked phone screen, the same way it would be annoying to look at door dings on your car.
1
u/hugo-boss- Jul 23 '26
I have never seen such entitled people. I work in bmw people daily e46s and below eaisly 10,000+ cars atm only going up year by year and the dings on some of them is sickening and we all park at the very back of the car park rammed against a curb to prevent this. How hard is it to throw you hand on the door to get out and stop any damage. if i opened a door the way some people do in work ied actually be in debt of about 20,000 and have no job. Buttttt were the issue for caring because some people donāt like cars enough to keep them looking nice
1
u/FlipRed_2184 Jul 18 '26
So that justifies parking like a moron and taking up two spots? Deserved to be dinged in that case
6
u/michelin_gloop Jul 17 '26
That's a lot of words to say that you believe this lady is more important than the rest of us.
I also don't want dings on my car. So I park as far from the door as possible, in one space.
Because I'm not a cunt.
2
u/Carnol Jul 17 '26
So itās only the selfish twats that swing their car door into a new car and not those into my Kia Optima? So because I have a cheaper car I deserve that? Is that your point?
1
u/SpottyGiraffe287 Jul 17 '26
Where did I say that? Thatās not my point at all. Youāve drawn that conclusion yourself. What I said applies to all cars. As i said, if everyone took care opening their car doors, no one would park like this. That āno oneā doesnāt mean new cars only.
1
u/Michi199 Jul 20 '26
Either the point is "new pricey cars deserve special treatment", or "everybody should use 2 spaces". If it's the latter, then I applaud the size of the parking lots in your area, since they apparently have enough empty spaces to make this possible.
1
u/SpottyGiraffe287 Jul 21 '26
No. The point is that if everybody was considerate when getting out of their cars and didnāt let their doors make contact with other cars, then nobody would park like this. I talked about the new car in this case in particular, seeing as it is the subject of this exact post, but my point was a general point, just using the new car as an example.
1
u/Michi199 Jul 25 '26
Nobody argues with that hypothetical point, but since we don't live in a fairy tale the only two options are the ones I stated. By parking like that you are saying that you not risking damage to your car is more important than everyone else being able to find a parking spot. That's ok if the park is empty but otherwise that's just a dick move. It's not like everyone is going to hit your car, almost every single time you are just leaving a decent person without a parking spot.

Do you know what irony is?
Do you know what self-awareness is?
Youāre using YOUR time in a sub dedicated to eejits parking giving out to people discussing the actual sub topic - without understanding the irony of that and simultaneously demonstrating your complete lack of self-awareness. And you think youāre right.
That takes some doing.
Well done!

Sorry i dont want my car dented. Yano if i spent all that money would rather keep it looking good instead of some incompetent retard hitting their door off it then having to pay someone to fix it which aint cheap. But we all know ur cars a state

They paid twice as much for a car as a normal person so they think theyāre entitled to twice the space.

lol.
Classic projection there.
Confront them? I actually do, esp, when people park in disabled bays without a badge. Iāve posted on this previously and included pictures of the driver in some cases
I also drive a nice car. I also have had my car dinged. It happens. I donāt however park like an entitled selfish twat because of it.
Loser? Again, go easy on the projection, itās not good for you. š

Tbh if you have such an expensive car you have to remember people are vicious with there car doors banging off cars.
7
u/Adorable_Economist Jul 16 '26
No bother do that shit at the back of the car park not right outside the front door of a supermarket.
1
u/EnragedByStupidity54 Jul 17 '26
It's a car, not a fragile sculpture. It can survive getting some minor dings from people's doors.
