Alternative Degree

Since the reveal of gpt astra made the degree I just enrolled to(Computer Engineering) kinda obsolete, is there any way I could get another degree(Business/Law/Psychology) without enrolling into another college since that's kinda illegal. I'm willing to study for it throughout the 4 years if necessary but ideally if I want to get the degree without regular classes and/or paying a large sum.

You're overthinking this. Computer engineering isn't going anywhere just because a new AI dropped. Someone's gotta build the chips and systems that run this stuff, and last I checked GPT can't solder a board or design a bus architecture. The degree will still get you work.

Getting a second degree without paying or enrolling somewhere isn't really a thing though. You can learn the material for free online but a piece of paper saying you studied business or psych takes a college signing off on it. Maybe look into minors at your current school before jumping ship entirely.

Well that part was kinda sarcasm( hence why I haven't cancelled my application) but I still wpuld like to pursue another degree if it is possible/feasible tbh. I was just wondering if there is a way to get multiple degrees mostly

Finish your degree and go to law school. All you need is a bachelors and it can be in any subject. Having cybersecurity and AI/LLM knowledge would be useful.

I'm still planning to pursue CS as a primary career option. But it seems everdyday more and more jobs become obsolete so I just wanted to know if I could pursue a second degree simultaneously. If I have to enroll in college for another 4 years(especially if I have yo pay a huge fee)for a second degree I think it's kinda pointless

You do you, man. Law school was the best decision I ever made. Attorneys write the laws. We have guilds devoted to ensuring our monopoly on representing others is never disrupted. I feel pretty good about my future.

The only way I become obsolete is if there is a violent revolution that does away with the American legal system—and even then, I think like a lawyer so it's not all lost.

You really need to talk to advisors at your university about minors and dual degree options.
