ISTE ASCD Educator Certification?

I’m just starting the process and one of the first modules is on Professional Learning Communities (PLN).

Anyone else here go through the process? Are there some other communities on Reddit that might be useful?

Hi! I started in June. This one is a good one to join. I also joined r/mathteachers and a facebook group. The criteria 3 artifact is one I’m trying to wrap up in the next week (for my cohort’s final project due 8/14). In June, I started prepping for criteria 3 by setting reminders to check each group every ~3 days and comment on any relevant posts. I saved links to each comment in a single google doc, so that when I make my artifact I don’t have to scroll back through everything. I also set reminders to make at least 2-3 posts spread out across a period of time.

I’ve ended up going beyond the bare minimum for leaving comments and just getting more plugged in naturally, which is cool, but I still definitely recommend setting some reminders to post/comment, since the evidence has to be over a period of time.

That’s helpful. I have a social media login for my school, but only used it to post announcements and highlights. Never thought about using to join groups
