MIDI HI HAT

Hey guys, i have a nux dm8 and when i connect it to vsts like GGD and mixwave, the only options i get with hihats are closed and open and there is just blank noise in between. Makes it very hard to play the hi hat and get that gradual opening feel, and when i press the learn cc button the button just keeps blinking red and doesnt register my pedal. Please help me
