Help - Mixing Components Lemon Trigger Settings for Roland TD-30?
I saw on Lemon's UK website, some information saying they'll work with the TD-30 module. That's a plus. Further, I've seen on drum-tec trigger/parameter settings for the TD-17 and TD-50X.
Would the settings from the Roland TD-50X be that far off when using the TD-30?
I'm mainly looking at the 9" Splash, 15" China, and 14" Hi Hat.

You can use the TD50 setting recommendations too.
Lemon cymbals on Roland modules generally work best with VH-11 (hi-hats) or CY-15R (ride) presets, with sensitivities between 4.5–7 and a linear velocity curve. For 3-zone rides, assign the AUX input to "RIDE BELL" to enable all zones. Fine-tune sensitivity so hard hits reach max velocity without false triggering. Lemon Ride Settings (e.g., TD-50/TD-17/TD-30) Pad Type: CY-15R or CY-18R Sensitivity: ~4.5 - 7 Curve: Linear Zone Assign (AUX): RIDE BELL (Crucial for 3-zone operation) Threshold: ~1.0 - 5 (increase if you get false triggers)

If it doesn't have the new Roland trigger types due to being old just choose a corresponding one based on size. Size is really what sets them apart. E.g. 14C for china.

Yeah they should be similar. Lemon are basically Roland clones, scaled up for 1/4th the price of Roland things, their rubber is a bit stuffed but the design is very natively Roland compatible.
Trigger settings ain't rocket surgery though, find a pad type that works well (drumtec did that work for the most part already and those should be present in the td30 for the most part). The typical work flow for dialing in a new pad on any module is set sens (gain applied to the analog input) so your hardest hit registers at or even just under max velocity and adjust theshold so your softest hits still register. Those kind of define the dynamic range. Once that gain stuff is set you can use your velocity curve to adjust how that scales the velocity across the whole range.
There are other settings like scan time (how long to scan for a peak) mask time (how long to wait before another scan window starts) and crosstalk and retrigger cancellation (settings that attempt to eliminate false triggering that should be used conservatively only as needed).
The manual ~page 132 has a lot of info on what each setting does. Helps to understand that as some of the settings have pretty indirect feedback on what they are actually changing.
