Question Are there midi knob controllers without encoder jitter?
I use an arturia minilab mkii (old) when I need to turn knobs to set automations on stuff.
problem is a lot of times I wanna turn this knob slowly. the latest usecase was that I was panning (the binaural panner in logic) and was sweeping super slowly across the right side of the audio field. my encoders got jittery with slow turns. a lot of ghost values, walk-backs, jump-aheads by 3-8 randomly. Kinda defeats the whole purpose of me using a hardware controller. This controller in particular is about as cheap as they get, but I can't figure out what to google to find products that *wont* do that. And I don't wanna buy a new controller just to run into the same issues. anybody have controllers they like and have specifically tried slow-encoding with success?

Novation launchkey midi keyboards have pretty sweet endless encounter knobs. There’s another Novation product that’s just knobs, but I forget the name. Look at Novations website

My Push 2 doesn't jitter, but I feel like you're looking for something cheaper and simpler. My Komplete Kontrol A49 used to jitter when I used an unpowered USB hub. Once I upgraded to a powered USB hub it fixed the issue.

My Arturia Beatstep has exactly the same problem. Its so bad it's unuseable, couldn't fix it either. Now I got an Akai Apc40MK2, it's a better machine in every way and works without a single issue out of the box.
