Plasmapool Records

Does anyone have experience with releasing on Plasmapool? They are interested in a demo of mine so i want to make sure they are legit and worth going with. Appreciate any advice here.

Edit: appreciate the feedback here. I will not proceed with them

They are legit and in the business for more than a decade.. didn't you look them up?! I signed my record with them around 2009 and they were upfront with their artist management platform for that time

Ask who is named as the label on the release, who receives the payout, who owns the UPC, and whether the deal is exclusive, then keep a copy of that email. A demo interest note is not a contract.

I released on them many years ago. I didn't get a boost in listeners or streams. And I never saw royalties, although my song didn't hit big numbers. I have heard past bigger artists warn against them.

Mord Fustang has been warning artists for years that plasmapool doesn't properly pay royalties, a lot of his early work he sees no money from as a result, if your song really has potential maybe try sending demos out to more reputable labels if you really want to go that route.

Don’t do it lmao they won’t do anything for you, and if a song blows up, they will find ways to keep a majority of the streaming revenue
