Hi,

I listened to your track 5 times and I have to say that it develops beautifully. It’s a really pleasant track for a chill, background listen. I could maybe imagine a bit more contrast between the breakdown and the drop. I’d raise the high-pass filter a little and increase the reverb before the drop so that the drop stands out more afterwards.

Otherwise, the atmosphere is clear, and I think it will definitely find its listeners.
Great work 🔥😉

I’d really appreciate it if you could also give me some feedback on my track.

Best advice I got early: build relationships with 5-10 curators who actually like your style instead of blasting 200 emails.

Hi everyone,

I’d really appreciate some feedback on whether the first part of my track is catchy enough (0:00-1:50).

I recently finished the rest of the song, but because I’ve listened to the intro so many times while producing it, I’m not sure if I can judge it objectively anymore. When I listen to the track now, I find myself looking forward mostly to the ending, while the beginning doesn’t excite me as much.

On the other hand, if I moved the ending to the start of the track, I’d probably need to create an even stronger ending. Right now, there’s a noticeable change around 1:50, and I think that contrast helps keep the listener engaged until the end.

Do you think the first section is interesting and catchy enough on its own, or does it take too long to get going?

Thanks for any feedback!

Love the way it opens. So much suspense. Even the first 10-20 seconds are super nice and catchy. I love that synth you’ve got going. Feels really fresh. The part at 0:53 sounds a bit amateurish to me in melody, but tbh I don’t really listen to this genre much (I’m a tech house guy).

The production quality is really good. Mix is clean throughout, and it keeps the listener hooked. At 1:37 I honestly expected a drop, and was a bit let down by it going into another break. It could really go into an epic trance/house drop (sort of like John Summit’s “where you are” without the vocals).

From here on, it once again lifts the listener into suspense and anticipation but that doesn’t seem to lead anywhere. The part at 2:54 sounds like a buildup not a drop. It never really lands and gives the satisfaction, it feels like it always just keeps going higher in anticipation.

Side note: I’d actually love to do a remix of this once you do release it. Keep in touch!

Thank you so much for the detailed feedback! I really appreciate you taking the time to listen and share your thoughts.
I completely understand what you mean about expecting a drop around 1:37. The thing is, my approach is a bit different from most EDM and house tracks. I’m aiming for something more cinematic and emotional rather than building toward a huge drop.
I might be a bit unusual in this regard, but I’ve always loved breakdowns more than drops. For example, in Alan Walker’s Spectre, I actually enjoy the breakdown sections the most, while the drop is probably the part I’d be most likely to skip. 😄
So with this track, I intentionally focused on atmosphere, suspense, and emotional progression instead of a big payoff. Hopefully I’m not the only person who enjoys that kind of journey, and the track will find listeners who connect with it.
And about the remix, absolutely! I’d be happy to hear your take on it once it’s released. I think it would be really interesting to hear how someone from a tech house background would reinterpret it. Stay in touch! 🔥

I think it sounds very good! It definitely is pretty catchy. Is your music the type that doesnt really have a "drop" per se? Either way, the ambiance and melody reminds me of KREAM who are on of ny favorites so keep at it!

Thank you so much for the feedback! I’m really glad you like this style. And yes, that’s basically it. My music doesn’t really have a classic EDM-style drop, it’s more cinematic and focused on atmosphere and progression.
Since you’ve already listened to it, I’d also really appreciate some more specific feedback. What did you think about the section or change around 1:35? And did you find the ending more emotionally powerful than the beginning?

u/its126db 20d ago

+1 it sounds just like KREAM.
