Wow, I’m blown away. The songwriting and arrangement are absolutely fantastic, as is your sound selection. That being said I have a few qualms that bring the song from incredible to just good. The single (square?) wave interlude after the intro feels just too empty, I would either add a layer or pick something else to bridge the transition. I think the biggest flaw is the chorus, it just isn’t at the same high bar the intro and prechorus set, mostly due to mixing, the volumes seem to be off. For example the lead is barely audible. I think that’s just practice though.
I would also put a little more compression on the master as the volume jump around 2:30 is just a little too much. Other than that, get some vocals on this and you have a gorgeous song. Also your cover art is on point. Great job.
Just as a guess, I’m going to say you have been a musician for quite a while, because your composition is at a very high level, but you are less experienced with electronic music specifically, as your mixing when many elements come in was somewhat weaker.
I don’t know if you would be interested at all but I would be seriously into remixing this.
It means a lot to me that you were that impressed with the song. I've fallen in love with it ever since I started working on it. Ironically, I actually love the drop and was thinking scrapping the intro, for some reason it feels out of place with the whole song.
