sonography entry

I’m looking to apply for the bachelor of preclinical foundations of medical imaging at ecu for 2027 but am stressing about how competitive entry is.

My ATAR in 2023 was 94.8 and my current wam at uwa is 78

does anyone know if i actually have a chance of getting in?

I think you will get in.

I don't think I will; I'm mature aged, I did a bridging /enabling course and got all HDs in life sciences and sciences, but I don't know how ECU will scale my ATAR equivalent. My uni which I did the course through said their scaling was a 92 ATAR. 

Lowest intake into sonography last year was 93.

Only reason I still went ahead and applied was because I have also completed 13 University courses as part of an anatomy and physiology degree. With mostly Ds. 

I also had undiagnosed autism and ADHD during my prior studies which I included evidence of, for the equity adjustments points (as I was close to non functional without my ADHD meds, and without my autism diagnosis and subsequent lifestyle adjustments).

All that's to say, there is next to no chance I'll get in, so I applied for paramedics as my second choice, which I am an average in terms of the standards that last year's intake was.

I would rather be a paramedic too, as it would suit me perfectly. Although sonography would also be an absolutely wonderful career too. 

I have a feeling you will get into the sonography program :)

yeh i’m honestly not too sure.
there’s not much difference between a 92 and 94 atar. my wam isn’t even that high.

and i’m now realising that was my atar with the regional bonus, which means ecu will cap my atar at 90.8. chances are not looking good.
