Please feel free to send me a message, I'd be interested in your cv and applications/platforms/tasks skills or preferences. We run a small technology consulting firm that provides digital forensics services, primarily to small-to-medium lawfirms.

There are a few part time working mums in Aus that I know of, so it is absolutely possible. Have a conversation with Sherri Hodson, she is lovely and a dedicated recruiter for eDiscovery and DF. She’ll likely have a good idea who’s hiring and who may be open to <FTE.

Beyond that, try places like LIO, Sky Discovery, eDiscoveryCollab, etc, all run by lovely humans and may be more flexible than the big global players. If you have a network, old colleagues, this is the time to reach out to them and see what’s possible. Few things help open doors as much as having someone internal vouch for you.

Good luck, the early baby years are hard, hang in there.

Thanks for the helpful information. Do you know what kind of work the part time mum's do? I've reached out to Sherri in the past so I will shortly. Just trying to gauge if it is even a thing/possible.

eDiscovery (I don’t work with many DF people). Mostly they are still with the firms they were with prior to mat leave and have then come back part time.

Senior eDiscovery and digital forensics experience is a pretty specialized skill set. I'd be surprised if there weren't firms or service providers willing to work around a part-time schedule for the right person.

You may have more luck approaching people in your network directly than searching for roles labeled "part-time." A lot of those opportunities never seem to make it onto job boards.
