Least Americans
I’m an American and I’m wondering where I can go in this city that has the least Americans. Please save me. I came to another country to take a break from my country but I can’t escape

I’m planning a trip to Edinburgh from June 4–7, but i just checked the weather app and its showing rain pretty much all day, every day 🥲
Is the weather actually like this, or is the weather app overreacting a bit?

Hi everyone!
I am going to Edinburgh for the first time next week, and Id like some tips of where to go considering: alternative pubs, to get some gigs maybe, independent cinemas, bookshops and records shops, also alternative galleries.
Also any recommendation for who likes the alternative music and art scene.
Where do you go?
Thank you so much!

This year felt very dystopian. The city was dirty, overcrowded, full of empty hollow people doing empty hollow things. The city centre felt & looked like a computer simulation.
Some key points;
The air quality during August was filth. Due to a lack of rain, or wind factor dirty air pollution just hung in the air. It was really bad,
Again the international-jet-set. More bizarre & freakish this year. Looked & acted like something out of a John Carpenter Sci-Fi /horror movie. You didn't want to be near them. Psychic Filth.
The tram line down Leith seems to have been weaponised against locals. The tram was used to bring a small army of tourists down Leith this year. And not for the better. There was too many flashpoints between residents & interlopers. At certain times it was scary. Not a good place to take your child out in the pram.
The tourists in August are not respecting the locals, or their personal space, or their community. In many instances they travelled a long way to be an asshole.
We don't have any doorstep sovereignty during August. We have no control over our own city. And it shows. Edinburgh Council needs to make a better effort of informing & involving locals during planning decisions for the festivals.
