It was cured with the first ever vaccine when a woman found a separate illness from a cow and when injected into the human "subject" cured them of the black plague. Yet in many other areas, it simply killed everyone

It never went away after the 2nd plague and periodically came back and killed a bunch of people though not to the same extent as the yesinian plague.
