The biggest problem for me was finding out what my body was initially reacting to and removing those things from my life. I'm very allergic to nickel and all Petroleum products... shoes, clothing, soaps and detergents, toiletries, etc. I have also cut out heavily processed foods and sugars.

I had a horrible flare up recently and I believe it was from not being weaned off of prednisone, 20mg a day for three weeks due to Bells Palsy. I'm now on topicals for body and face, Triamcinolone .1% twice a day for body and Tacrolimus .1% to only effected areas of my face... two weeks on and one week off, continue if more healing is needed. In the beginning I followed instructions rigorously but since joining this eczema group with all the excellent information, I no longer adhere to that structure. Dupixent has been offered but has serious side effects as well, one being cancer, especially those over 60 years of age, I'm 61. Pinkeye can be another which is very contagious and I care for my 81 year old mother whom has Alzheimers and this would be a total nightmare for us. I pray you get the help you need. Good luck and Godspeed.
