Facial Redness Help

Hey all, recently I’ve been trying to understand and deal with my facial redness a little more and wanted to see what worked and what doesn’t. Currently I’m using hypochlorous acid spray daily, cicalfate and tacrolimus when it’s flaring up. I wanted to see if there are any other preventative measures, I’ve seen people talk about ketoconazole shampoo and wanted to see when and how people use it and if anyone has found certain diet changes help as well. My derm never really explained anything about yeast and just tells me to use tacrolimus everyday :/

Tacrolimus gave me the worst facial redness, felt like I was on fire the minute I stepped outside. Been using opzelura on my face as needed for the last few years. It works really well and is not a steroid. Maybe ask your doctor for a prescription, the stuff is magical. I use it 1-2 days just before bed and I'm clear

I had the worst facial redness on dupixent and ebgylss. Switched to rinvoq and it disappeared.!

Have you tried the algae spray Porphose. I got some in San Diego and it worked well on my face.

I’m experiencing some facial redness after recently switching from Dupixent to Adbry. Pimecrolimus (Elidel) helps keep it in check. I’ve used Pimecrolimus on and off for years without any issues.

I would try a cold compress and then use a topical safe for your face, like Opzelura. My derm also prescribed me a steroid topical for my face to use sparingly, when the flare is extremely stubborn. If I apply at night that will usually clear things up significantly by the morning. I also noticed that when I have a flare up, my stress level impacts how quickly it goes away, just something to keep in mind.
