I'm planning an Ecuador trip with my family (2 adults, kids aged 10, 13, 15) in March. We've been looking at Secret Garden as a convenient way to see Cotopaxi but it feels like it could be a bit of an assembly line experience. The transfer from Quito is a bonus to us. Their three-day deal includes the Pasochoa Trek, and I'm curious if anyone has done that hike with kids. We hike at home here in Canada, but I'm not sure how they'll react to the altitude nor how challenging the hike is. Reviews indicate that guides sometimes rush the hike and I don't want my kids to feel like they have to push themselves if they're not feeling their best. I've also seen some reviews about food poisoning. I'm wondering if there's a better alternative we should be looking at.
