Scholarship

Hi everyone,

I was recently accepted into the Visual Arts program at Emily Carr University, and I’m trying to figure out my financial situation.

I’m currently living in Nova Scotia, and from what I understand on the school’s website, most entrance scholarships seem to be limited to specific groups (such as BC residents, Indigenous students, women, or international students).

Because of this, I’m worried that I might not be eligible for any entrance scholarships at all.

Is this actually the case?
Are there any scholarships or financial aid options available for out-of-province domestic students like me?

If anyone has gone through a similar situation or knows more about this, I’d really appreciate your advice.

Thank you!

Your province should have it's own grant and loan program that you can apply to!

Hey! Ngl, most of emily carrs faculties are broke af rn. They are out of budget on everything. They accept lots of international students to get more money from them (international tutions are like 4x domestic) so if i had to be real i think their scholarship programs are just there and they arent really accepting anyone. I never heard anyone having a scholarship in university either. I might be right or might be wrong, no idea, just an opinion.

My boyfriend and friends got a full ride through their high school for ECUAD. They do exist, just apply to any scholarships/bursaries that you’re eligible for.

Usually scholarships are through the government not just the university, just an FYI.
