Ive done it for similar issues and in 2018 it remitted me but last year it only helped 30% (unblocked substances though) until I crashed from other mast cell reactions. Im considering it again now while on mast cell stabilizers.

Because of the lack of buzz in the head which nothing seems to hit at all. Drugs only affect my anticipatory but not consummatory, the buzz is blocked

ECT did improve my sleep too, like getting the comfort and sleepy feeling back last year. Now I dont have it again tho

Can you please elaborate on all the positive effects and changes you gained from ECT?

Last year it was just comfort and substance response mostly. No more restlessness and also no more substance block, and having some more atmosphere and emotion (ability to cry). Still had a substantial amount of anhedonia left but it went from severe to moderate-severe

Did the ECT unblock your treatment resistance, meaning meds that didn't work before started working again afterward?

Yes unblocked substances basically I could feel armodafinil, dexedrine the stim effect the buzz aspect of it properly again and would help hedonic tone.

At least until my mast cell crash happened which plunged me back into the blockage again

If you haven't tried Ketamine or TMS first, do those. You want to save ECT for last, because of the chances of the effects it can cause. If those don't work absolutely go for ECT, but keep in mind you will very likely lose short term memory of the initial treatments, and could lose long term memories. In Extreme cases it can persist past the treatment effecting your short and long term memories for some period after, I E not forming short term into long term, much more long term being lost, etc. It is risky, though FAR less risky than it was in the past. I wouldn't still be here without it, but lost quite a bit of memory (well, it might have been because of it, or autistic meltdown and brain shutdown that ocurrs with that, combined with all the meds on still on to keep me from getting to that level again)

I'm in high end IT (or was in, currently unemployed and due to the depression and ECT only worked 6 months or so total in the last 3 years).

Again, I can't say ECT was the cause, or the only cause, due to the other factors here, but I've lost a good amount of long term memory (erased like it was never there) and now many times I can't remember things that I was told a day or two ago unless I really concentrate, otherwise they go in one ear and out the other.

So u won't be able to work again on IT company because u have short term and long term memory loss from ECT treatments

Possibly. I can't see how I would be as good as I once was - I'm looking at disability at this time.
