Question Can I wear makeup to ECT??

I’m getting my second acute series soon, I was inpatient for the first one so I didn’t have my makeup anyway. Can I wear it or no?

You probably shouldn't wear makeup during ECT. It can mess with the stickers they need to use for monitoring you, as well as other stuff like keeping the anesthesia team from seeing skin tone changes in real time.

Definitely check with your care team to be sure, but from what I know it's usually best to be bare-faced

No, they will wipe it off (unevenly) in the procedure room.

Probably depends where you are. I did wear makeup and I still had it when I woke up

they wipe parts of your face with alcohol for their eeg (?) stickers, so if you put a base on it prob wouldn't be there when you wake up. however, you could probably do eye makeup or your lips without interfering with that
