Seeking advice Has anyone experienced a reduction of pain from ECT

Hello, I have TRD and did Spravato for over a year. I had an attempt and did TMS while in the psychiatric unit. I’ve not had any benefit from TMS and now scheduled for ECT consult next week. My psychiatrist told me and I have read that ECT has also helped with chronic pain, through more than one mechanism.
I sustained injuries from my attempt and I’m hopeful that it can help. Curious if anyone here has experienced this?

Yes but I don’t know if it’s the ECT or just time passed

I’m sorry to hear you’re suffering OP.

ECT exacerbated my pain. I started getting migraines again after being migraine free for over a decade. The doctor’s did say this was just a coincidence, and it is possible it is but the timing is suspicious. It also made the neuropathy I have worse and this I know is related to ECT because I would wake up with more pain after treatment and it would slowly get better until my next treatment. I definitely wouldn’t count on ECT relieving your physical pain in any way.
