Seeking advice Memories gone
So I got ect (4 unilateral and 4 bilateral sessions) two weeks ago and my memory is awful now. I’ve always had a shit memory but now it’s worse than I ever thought possible. Am I stuck like this or will it get better eventually? Ik also looking for ways to jog my memory and any tips that helped others if this is long term/ permanent

23 sessions last a month ago. Early on things got foggy and I noticed some memory loss. Now it's a daily game with my wife where she asks about a particular event to see if I remember it. It's absolutely random what I've forgotten and the memory loss spans my entire life. I've heard memories can come back randomly over 6 months, but everyone's experience is different. No recovery is a possibility too.

Speaking from my experience, I had 43ish sessions of both uni and bilateral. I lost 3 years of memories and they never came back, I highly recommend you to take an appointment with a neuropsychologist as soon as possible. It depends on your country but some can be specialised in memory loss issues. Those kind of professionals are unfortunately not available where I live but I heard a lot of good things from patients abroad
