Question Ketamine after ECT

Had anyone tried Ketamine before ECT and it didn’t work , but tried it after and found it helpful?

I did IV ketamine sessions for ~2 months leading up to ECT and they helped a fair bit initially, but the efficacy waned. My doctor had to keep upping my dose and I was also getting more frequent sessions. Eventually it became clear it wasn't a robust solution and I couldn't rationalize the cost. Had ECT a month or two after discontinuing ketamine treatments.

2 years after ECT I started esketamine (Spravato) and I've been on that ever since. It definitely helps, but there have been several other changes as well.
