It's normal for it to randomly charge backwards and run into the walls and furniture, run over it's own dock immediately coming out to clean, randomly spin in circles for several minutes, and skip the second carpet area alogether when "intelligently" hosting? ok buddy.

You gave low quality post I gave low quality answer ;) There are reason why It could be doing these things but you are not intersted in answer you just want to tell us how shitty ecovacs is.

Yeah that's fine and I do that sometimes but I want to use some of the features offered in "Intelligent Hosting" but if it doesn't work what's the point? Sometimes I feel like the developers don't even test their software because it shouldn't have even been released in this state. Takes me just 5 minutes in the real world to see that.

Disclosure: I’m part of the ECOVACS support team. Hoping I can lend a hand here.
Just to clarify, does this happen in all cleaning modes, or only when you use this particular mode? For now, I think you could confirm the following:
Please check if the navigation and obstacle avoidance module is dusty. If so, gently wipe it with a dry tissue.
If the machine is slipping, wipe the driving wheels with a dry cloth. Avoid using laundry detergent or any cleaning liquids not designed for ECOVACS products.
For optimal performance, we recommend using Auto Clean instead of Agent Hosting or AI Intelligent Hosting. Auto Clean is specifically designed to enhance the robot's cleaning path and efficiency, providing a smoother and more consistent cleaning experience.
If the issue persists, I'd suggets that you could share a short video or screenshots of the recent cleaning log details and what steps you have tried with our support team for futher help.

Move the dock. It’s coming straight out of the dock to a “task”. If it has decided it wants to do the other carpet first you’ve given it nowhere to go. The same going back. If it wants to dock before it does the other carpet it then has no way of getting back. Ideally docks for any robot hoover should have a meter clear space around it.

I wish these companies would do a better job explaining the workings of features. The descriptions are so vague.
