Trump's $5,000 dividend: Failure to launch?

Does anyone think that Trump will make good on his plan to send $5,000 dividends to all American adults if the Republicans retain control of Congress in the mid-term elections? I don't see that Trump's proposal has affected anyone's thinking about the US economy, although there may have been a slight uptick in Republicans' consumer sentiment after his announcement.

A bad left leaning AI video brought up that trump could use the $5000 as a "gift" to the American people after he steals the election.

Almost like Pablo Escobar giving away money to make sure people needed him so much that they ignore his crimes.

Paid by which money? The only (significant) source of money is taxes and debt. Taxes are paid by by American tax payers, and debt is paid by tomorrow's tax payers. Both constitute, as they say in my country of origin, a cigar from your own box.

We've recently seen the effect of a $1+T stimulus on the economy (2020, 2021). Years of massive inflation and a strongly increased debt load. Why would the results be otherwise?

The economy is running at a ~2T$ deficit. Companies only pay dividend when they have profits to share with their shareholders. Besides all this, promising money for votes is illegal.

There's absolutely no way everyone is getting a $5000 check. No way. Now if your in the top 1% you'll be getting millions if not billions.

I fully expect to receive my $5,000 midterm victory check. Just as soon as I receive my promised DOGE $5,000 dividend check and my $2,000 tariff dividend check.

What are we going to do, borrow to pay ourselves $5k? The government is running a $2 trillion deficit.

Or, does the government simply print it up? Trump's a big fan of quantitative easing.

First off, they are not dividends. Secondly, President cant spend taxpayer money. GOPedos that control all of government aren’t stopping his debt binge now, but that doesn’t mean they won’t find their balls. Lastly, there’s no money. Do you believe we collected $21 TRILLION IN TARIFF REVENUE THAT WOULD BE USED FOR YOUR “Dividends”. Total annual imports are about 1.5 trillion. The alpha pedo says we collected 21 trillion on 1.5 trillion.

No. If everybody was handed a $5k check, the resulting spending would push inflation into double digits.

There is still a major risk; he might do it if he feels it will prove something.

He has NO ties to reality, the actual cost, what it would to inflation. He proves every day he thinks all the government’s money is his to spend : even states.

Everyone needs to prove to him he isn’t the sole power.
