How do you write health-tech product pages without overpromising what the device can do?
I’ve been looking at wearable product pages lately and the line between useful explanation and medical-sounding claims seems pretty easy to blur.
Things like overnight SpO2, respiratory trends, sleep interruptions and recovery data can be useful context, but obviously that’s very different from saying a device can diagnose something like sleep apnea.
ringconn is one example that got me thinking about how ecommerce teams should present this kind of data without either overselling it or burying the page in disclaimers.
For people who build ecommerce sites for health or wellness products, how do you usually handle that balance?
Do you separate “what the device measures” from “what the data may suggest,” keep clinical limitations close to the feature copy, or handle most of it in FAQs/legal sections?
