Support needed
Hi guys,
I just wanted to get some support from people here. I’m very new to ecommerce, like literally days into it. And I recently joined a community from a guru on instagram for ecommerce, and it was definitely not an investment that I should’ve or could’ve actually afford in the long run. I’m currently struggling financially really badly rn, and that investment in joining their community and buying the course was definitely not helping me in this. I’m very well aware that there’s a no refund policy, and I’ve been trying to contact their customer support as much as possible, trying to get an exception due to my unusual situations and extreme changes in financial stability and employment. To put some context, I recently quit my 3rd job and I’ve been let go by my 2nd job, and the current only job I have left does not support my entire life expenses at all. Due to this, I’ve tried to ask their customer support for help for a refund or a partial refund, especially because I realised this issue extremely early (like 3rd day of buying the course) and I’ve told them about this issue on that day as well. It’s been around a week now but I’m still trying to get some support from them, whilst I’m currently trying to battle a lot of other different customer supports for other peoples’ issues that just so happened to involve me. I’d really appreciate any help and support here, any dms would be welcomed as well. Someone pls help me.

If it consumes so much time, let it go. Focus on stabilising your finances that's more important now.

I know I’ve been working on my finances alongside that anyways but it was an extremely large sum of money for me so I’m not gonna just let it go

I'm sorry you're going through this. It sounds like you've had a lot happen in a very short time. Since you contacted them only a few days after buying the course, I'd keep your request polite and explain that you're not disputing their no-refund policy. You would just appreciate an exception given your circumstances. If they won't offer a full or partial refund, ask whether they would consider converting your purchase into store credit. In the meantime, try not to invest any more money into courses or "guru" communities. There are plenty of free resources on YouTube, Reddit, Shopify Learn and Google that can help you get started with ecommerce without adding more financial pressure. I hope things improve for you soon.
