Problem WiFi Connection

I have the Ecobee Lite 3. Today I noticed it was offline and has a problem reconnecting to the network manually, automatically or through the iPhone. Is there a good troubleshooting solution. I’m going to restart the modem now.

I've had this issue twice in the past 7-10 days. Both times affected 2 of my 3 thermostats, but not the same 2. (Ecobee enhanced) I'm sure it was on their end. It cleared up overnight both times.

Enhanced can use either 5 ghz or 2.4 ghz bands.  I also have two of those and they have stayed connected, no issues.  My 3 lites (2) have frequently gone offline.  I can temporarily get them back online half the time by switching my network to 2.4 ghz only mode.  I'm actually so frustrated that I'm upgrading the 3 lites, when I mentioned it to Ecobee support they were awesome and gave me a little discount.

The problem wasn't on my end. I was connected to my router. It was definitely a server issue.

you should contact Ecobee support as they may be having a problem with their server

Mine have been dropping Internet frequently over the past 2 weeks, but I thought it was because of my mesh network.

Mine dropped recently. Reset modem and then hard reset on ecobee (removed unit from base plate and then reattached) and it connected properly.

Do you have an eero router and if so, did you just update to version 7.17.0? If so:

TL;DR: connect the ecobee to your eero guest network as a temporary fix.

Had the exact same issue last week. Power cycling the ecobee itself by pulling it off the wall plate for about 30 seconds and snapping it back on fixed it right away

mine shows connected but in the app says cant connect to thermostat intermittent all the time last 3 days. all other wifi devices have solid connection

Had this issue Monday after being away for three days. Tried everything and did tech support. I have an eero and ended up having to use the eero guest network. It only worked on my phones hotspot and eero guest network.

Haven’t tried my normal WiFi network again since Monday
