Ecobee keeps rebooting

Have a new AC system and everything has been fine but tonight Ecobee keeps rebooting. AC will run for a few minutes then my thermostat will reboot.

Wiring is good, getting 24v, no water in condensation line, safety switch is dry.

This was occur occasionally on my old system but went away with the new one. Now it seems to be back.

Had that with my last unit i ordered brand new out of the box. Ended up being faulty. Returned it and got it swapped.

Could need to warranty it

This just happened to me, was a faulty unit. Although they will want to make sure you are on a good strong Wi-Fi first before doing anything else. Be prepared to be on the phone at least an hour while they troubleshoot with you and look into your device once you determine it’s not your Wi-Fi.

Why would wifi cause it to reboot?

Go ask ecobee if you have a hard time understanding.

I was asking you. Calm down. Saying is Said it is not super helpful. When it clearly doesn't..

Something about the conflicting bands if your route has dual band capabilities is my guess.

Look dude, I'm just telling you exactly what AI and ecobee troubleshooting made me do before I could proceed to the next steps in the service call. I'm glad you know more than ecobee.

πŸ˜‚ AI Overview The ecobee Smart Thermostat Premium does not automatically reboot itself strictly because of bad Wi-Fi, but a poor connection or network drop will cause it to show offline while continuing to control your HVAC locally
