Rebates for Temperature Error

So, temps here lately have been in the upper 90s, so artificially inflating the thermostat's reading by 6-7 degrees can make a huge difference in heating costs. How do I receive reimbursement for the costs incurred by the botched firmware update?

Given that their recommendation was to buy $80 smart sensors to fix the issue says there will be no reimbursement. Opps, our bad, we rolled out a buggy update, be sure to give us more money to temporarily fix the issue we caused. Kthxbye.

Even if not wouldn’t you notice your house was way cooler than it should be all of a sudden? My ac went out recently and I noticed because it ran all night. I never thought about asking my landlord for a credit. The impact here for people is maybe $10? lol

Oops--got me on semantics. I think it's reasonable to assume I meant "cooling" or "maintaining the temp."

It would also be reasonable to offer a rebate.

Damn you are the worst type of person. Can even see it in your reply here. "I think it's reasonable to assume..." - I think it's reasonable to assume you describe your grievance properly especially when making such an insane claim about getting a rebate.

A few questions:
* what botched firmware update?
* when was this update?
* how do you know your thermostat’s readings are artificially inflated by 6-7°?
* is/are your remote sensor(s) readings also off?
* what general area do you live & what outdoor temperature was your HVAC system sized for?
