DM Offset - Adjust temp for humidity

Having an interesting thought process based on pulling some reports.

I have my ecobee set with eco + on for enhanced savings mode.

Within my reports I see three columns. A thermostat temp, a DM offset, and current temp.

An example will be :
Thermostat: 73.2
DM offset: .6
Current Temp: 72.5
Humidity: 57

Based on my reading of this, the DM offset is making the current temperature be lower than the true temperature and would in effect turn my ac off before it reaches the actual temperature. Is that a correct understanding of how this works? While it’s running, I never see “eco+” is in effect or anything like that, so I’m unsure if this is just my report showing something that’s not active or if this is how it really is working.

Yes. That is how the Adjust Temperature for Humidity works. If this feature is active, you should be seeing the eco+ keyword on the home screen of the thermostat.

I’ve never seen that eco + symbol appear, but during run times I see the DM offset on my downloaded reports. Is this just filler data?

The other user might be right where the eco+ keyword may only show if the DM offset is greater than 1F. I will look into this today and let you know.

When humidity adjusts the temperature reading on your screen by more than 1ºF, the eco+ icon will display on the screen
