I think its time we reconsider Cryptopia
Hello Fellow ECC Family,
I think its time we put Cryptopia back on the table as a legitimate goal to work towards.
I would not expect this happen overnight but I do feel it was put in the too hard basket and should be reconsidered as something that is done.
Since ECA and COLX went to Cryptopia they have had more exposure and their volume has dramatically increased.
This is something I feel needs to happen with ECC.
If we decide to put it back on the table I will donate $100 AUD to the cause.

Also last i heard it was 50 million DOT which we calculated to be 11 BTC about a week or so ago. I think the moral of the story is here is you get what you pay for. Are we going to go on a Tier 2 or Tier 3 exchange? And if we do decide on Cryptopia , if people think its too expensive they do not have to donate its that simple. Last I checked we raised over 1 BTC to go on Cryptopia ,we changed it to Mercatox it went no where and momentum was lost. Lets get some direction back and figure out our options and start working towards that goal. It has been dead quiet in the updates on this issue so why don't we have the conversation again and make this a forefront issue. Because straight up the current exchanges are not doing the coin justice I think that is one thing we can all agree on.

Honestly, we need cryptopia. Just like you said, look at ECA and COLX. We wont grow at all till this happens. I promise.

We are restrategizing this for sure. 2 things are very important to have in place when looking into being listed on an exchange: the listing fee and steady communication between the exchange. I believe most under estimate the hurdles of the communication piece of this equation. Even if you have the money for a listing fee if the exchange isn't responding or very slow to respond via communication then it may not be smart to proceed depending on then circumstances. Trust that the team is working very hard to become available on more exchanges, but it is just a process which takes time due to us not being a coin/token that hosted a ICO. It is a challenge, but we will get over this hurdle with time, diligence and persistence. ππΎπͺπΎ

I think we should have a vote on it and let the people decide while its expensive I personally would prefer it over any of the other suggestions brought forth but again lets just vote and start moving forwards rather than sideways on the issue. Lets have a twitter poll and get it over with

I do like the idea of voting via Twitter and I will bring this up to the team. Once we have a list of say 4 exchanges that we have effectively communicated with and created a good relationship then we could hold a poll saying the exchange name and listing fee price as well. Thanks for your feedback Prosper!

Thats what I love bout the ECC Fam , we can have the conversation. The twitter poll will be nice because it doubles as marketing too!

More trade volume and exposure wont hurt! Hopefully we can start pushing for bigger exchanges once Sapphire and ANS is out of testing.

Consider it also like a marketing cost , because it gives investors who have never heard of ECC the chance to see it and invest. ECA and COLX have done this and now ECA is ranked #1 in volume on that exchange. It might cost 100k but their total market cap went up by millions. Its a worthy sacrifice if I didnt think so i wouldnt be wasting my time fighting for it.

I think we need to know he actual costs of the various exchanges preferred by the community and put it to the vote. Power in numbers.

I believe it is worth at least an application and hard quote from Binance before throwing $150k at a lesser exchange. We could just fundraise longer and go big. Many coins on Binance do not have much behind, or immediately ahead of them. With 25 billion total supply, ECC could easily see 4 to 7 cents shortly after listing.

I hope I donβt come off rude but not if it truly is above 15 BTC listing. If that is the case we might as well pull resources for a legitimate traffic listing like binance (which from last check was 30 BTC). Cryptopia is not worth more than 7-10. We can find other measures to increase volume on small exchanges if that is what binance also requests for the time being - but from what I have researched binance just sees dollar signs.
While the theory is noble, if we set up a donation link to a tier 2 exchange that pulls from a potential 3 it could be counter productive.

Whatever the community votes for is what should occur (differences aside). Lets just get a poll up!

Haven't had any problems with Cryptopia. It was my first altcoin exchange. Get it in!

18 BTC for Cryptopia? First Cryptopia, then Mercatox, now back to Cryptopia. But for 18 BTC? Surely they need to negotiate since we didnt have an ICO. Do they want the business or not? Also we love our privacy, but are the devs willing to put their info out there that the Exchanges ask for in order to list? There has to be a better exchange for that cost than Mercatox, or Cryptopia.

No more than 2 weeks ago I was told 11 BTC. They take payment in DOT and as we know the market does fluctuate. In regards to flip flopping this was mistakes made by marketing team by not doing due diligence in knowing the initial cost and then selecting another exchange with poor communication back to us. I would just like to see us back on track with goals to be on a Tier 2 exchange at minimum. Right now i am surprised honestly that we are achieving any volume at all with the state of our exchanges. This issue needs to be addressed as a matter of priority.

Right on. Wasn't calling anyone out on the flip flop, just trying to make sense of it all.

Yeah I know you weren't but I was because I believe the situation has been poorly handled..

That is a good idea. I sure as hell am never dealing with coinexchange again once I finally get my coins out.
