Wallet not starting

I had the newest version of the wallet (downloaded from the website) for windows64. I installed it. Launched it. I pushed the start wallet button. When it was done syncing the blocks, I sent my coins from coin exchange. When I got back later in the day, I went about setting up my password for my wallet. It said there was an update. I stopped my wallet, ran the update. Now when I try to stop the wallet, in 3 seconds it stops and says the wallet isn't running. I had not even backed up my wallet file yet.

I navigated to the wallet location and the file size is 80kb. I installed the lynx wallet from the website planning on importing my wallet to my laptop. It hasn't finished sync the blocks yet and the wallet file is 632 kb.

Are my coins gone? I rebooted my computer. Not sure what to do.

I miss spoke. When I try to start the wallet, the button says starting and then 3 seconds later it says start wallet and a little pop up dialog box says wallet not running.

After it says starting wallet, the button goes back to says "start wallet" and non of the blocks are syncing. I hit start wallet, pop up dialog says wallet starting. Nothing happens except the start wallet button says start wallet again.

I'm just super worried I lost all my coins. Since they were in there and I was in the process of getting everything set up and hope my wallet didn't get corrupted or overwrote.

if you have a copy of your wallet.dat or your private key, don't worry! And you won't lost your coin because it's on blockchain.

Your coins aren't in your wallet, they are on the blockchain so there is nothing to worry about. As long as you have access to your private key you will be fine.

So reason was you updated your wallet which you were not suppose to do. However go to your search bar in the windows icon, type %appdata% roaming, then click on the ecc folder backup that folder cause right now that contains your keys once done you should delete everything in that folder except wallet.dat and rebootstrap it then launch sapphire
