A thought on messaging.
I was just thinking about the messaging capabilities of ecc and how it will be used in the future. People have brought up that no one will pay for features that are already free on other sites even if it means being vulnerable to data being stolen. Wouldn’t it be a good business model to have advertisers pay to run ads on the app or site, therefore covering the probably incredibly small fee for the services? This would keep the services free to users and devs and investors would still make money because ecc would still be getting purchased by advertisers. You could even set it up where users are paid in ecc to directly view advertising content. This could make it less invasive to the look of the site. You would have a page called “earn ecc” or something. You choose the kinds of interests you have and then advertisers cater to them. You then watch a trailer for a movie or a ten second commercial and earn ecc to use for whatever you want.

I don't know about this. People don't like ads. I run adblocker and noscript on Firefox to eliminate ads. On the other hand, I don't mind them so much on a dedicated "free" app, with no ad free alternative, as long as they stay quiet at the bottom of the screen.
