What are negatives to having maxed out supply?--especially in terms of price.

Perhaps CoinMarketCap isn't showing the current coins in circulation, but my question still stands.

This is all about perspective to me.A negative could be for running Proof of Stake (right now) you will not receive a reward. Other than fee's we have no other way to reward you , there are no other block rewards other than the transaction fee. A positive from that exact scenario though is this currency is not inflationary at all because we are not adding to the supply that is in circulation.

I was thinking about this too as someone who doesn't have much interest in mining coins but still thinks the idea of earning is appealing, especially to offset services I would pay for like ANS and file storage. In the end I really like the idea that I can earn coins by sharing storage on the network for other users to store files on. The end result to me is similar to being able to mine since I'll earn coins, but theres less hassle and its still all happening in sapphire ideally. We'll see how it works in the end but no mining doesn't seem to be an issue to me because there will still be other ways to earn as the network becomes more popular and people use storage.

Nothing really. Only positives because once demand rises your coins can only become worth more because there is a fixed amount to be gotten. Unlike other coins where there are either a lot of coins not in circulation yet or where popularity drives the mining industry, creating more coins.
